Brilliant Bath

Bath

Take our walking tour through Bath and explore this exquisite city, from its ancient beginnings before Roman times to the peak of its 18th century glory. If you've already done our Tootbus adventure, there are plenty of new sights to discover as we take you to the parts of the city the bus can't reach, as well as giving you the chance to explore the iconic places you whizzed past on the bus. We start at Bath Abbey, then visit the hot springs that made Bath famous and the ancient hostelry that housed the poor who came to be healed (still functioning today!), before discovering the ornate theatre that entertained the Georgian elite. From there, it's on past the remnants of the medieval city wall and into the precinct of Georgian masterpieces: Queen Square, The Circus and Royal Crescent. We then detour via a hidden garden before heading back through Milsom Street, Bath's centre of fashion and shopping for 250 years, the oddly named Broad Street, and then on to the Guildhall, centre of power in Bath since the middle ages. Finally, we discover Poulteney Bridge and the iconic weir in the River Avon, before ending our tour in the beautiful Parade Gardens, a couple of minutes walk from where we started. And at every stop, of course, there are challenges to be played, stories to be discovered and rewards to be won for a great family adventure!
