Borough Market’s Easter Tree of Hope has been decorated with more than 200 wooden eggs with messages and drawings of hope for the future, intended to lift people’s spirits and show solidarity in light of recent events.
In addition to the giant eggs, there will also be a special family Easter egg trail taking place in the Market from 13th-16th April, with chocolatey prizes provided by So Chocolacious. The answers to the Borough Market Easter Quiz will be on eggs hidden among the stalls.

Royal Botanic Gardens Family Programme at Kew Gardens & Wakehurst
In collaboration with Frugi, Kew Gardens and Wakehurst will both offer a Family Programme during the Easter holidays.
Family members are led through the famous landscape with an interactive trail built with a relatable, child-friendly theme, which this season is The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. Frugi’s new season collection is available at the Kew Gardens and Wakehurst gift shops. It is inspired by the bright, vibrant flowers that bloom in spring.

How To Hide A Lion & Other Shows at Polka Theatre, Richmond
The Polka Theatre in Richmond is hosting a few shows that are sure to delight young minds. The children’s tale How to Hide a Lion, by Helen Stephens, comes to life with humour and stunning puppetry and is suitable for kids aged 3-6. (March 11-April 24). Also, Akademi’s Plastic Drastic Fantastic (April 6-May 8) uses dance to discuss big issues (South Asian).
Power Up at the Science Museum, South Kensington
Gaming fans can also look forward to Power Up, coming to the Science Museum this April with over 160 consoles, Mario Kart, Pac-Man, and Guitar Hero. There are a wide variety of activities on offer, whether you’re a parent looking for family-friendly activities during the Easter holidays or a games aficionado who enjoys the classics. Visitors will be able to see how gaming has evolved over the years, and what the future holds for gaming, at this interactive gaming extravaganza.
The Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt at Hampton Court Palace
This Easter, Hampton Court Palace is hosting the Lindt Gold Bunny hunt. Explore the 60 acres of palace gardens and discover the Lindt Gold Bunny statues hidden there using the trail map. The Clore Learning Centre will offer you a Lindt GOLD BUNNY (10g) chocolate reward once you have finished. (Non-chocolate rewards can also be provided on request).
The hunt is open to children and their families ages 4-12. Kids under 5 get in free and don’t need a ticket for the Lindt Gold Bunny hunt, which is included in palace admission (members get in free). You can also visit the Magic Garden playground (also included in palace admission, members get in free).
Half Term At The Postal Museum
With Poco the Postcode Elephant, the Postal Museum offers a range of self-guided and guided activities where families can discover surprising stories about postcodes.
For decades, Royal Mail used Poco to help people remember to use a postcode.
Kids can make a Poco the Postcode Elephant mask or hand puppet, or get crafty at artist Susie Foster’s booth Marvellous A workshop based on the exhibition’s original maps.
You can ride the Mail Rail, participate in interactive displays, find Poco hidden in displays, and learn fascinating facts about postcodes in the museum.
